Couple, lock, and verify
Align the upper lip, roll the mount into place, engage both locking pins, lower the attachment, shut down safely, and confirm that each pin has passed fully through its receiver.

- Inspect the coupler and attachment plate
- Clean dirt or ice from engagement surfaces
- Confirm both locking pins visually
- Relieve pressure before hydraulic connection
- Route hoses away from pinch and abrasion points
Test before productive work
At low engine speed and with the attachment close to the ground, cycle each function while checking for leaks, interference, unusual movement, or hose tension.
Repeat the check every change
Never rely on the control indicator alone. A direct visual inspection of the locked mount is a small step that prevents serious separation hazards.
